MacBand was an online directory of songs and loops made by artists using Apple Computer’s GarageBand software.
You could use MacBand to share your music with the world! To begin, all you had to do was just to register for an account. Then you could browse the directory to download songs and loops made by other MacBand artists.
All you had to do to start was clicking a genre that interested you in the list on the left of the website. For more information, visit our About page.

January 11, 2005 – MacBand Updated with Song Upload Feature
Clickhype has been diligently working to bring you a new and improved Macband. All the features of Macband are up and running smoothly. Something to take note of, now you can upload your music to the Macband servers instead of linking off to a third party. Users can upload an unlimited amount of their music to Macband for the world to hear. New features will continue to mature this month. We will be holding weekly contests and giving away free Apple hardware and software through out January and Feb to active users building and promoting our Macband community. Stay tuned for details.
December 18, 2004 – MacBand acquired by ClickHype.com
MacBand was recently purchased by ClickHype.com, allowing it the resources and technology to provide even better services to it’s users. As some of you may know, MacBand experienced some technical difficulties over the past few months that prevented users from logging into their accounts. This problem has been fixed, but users will now have to re-register their accounts. All songs have been preserved. If you have any questions, please e-mail MacBand Support.
